Emily Browning in Sucker Punch
Holy sh*t! was my reaction to Jack “300 / Watchmen” Snyder’s first trailer for Sucker Punch, recently unveiled at Comic Con, and I wasn’t even listening with sound.
I’m quite a big fan of Snyder, specially after his visually wow-ful big screen creation of The Watchmen; compromising none (or very little) on the graphic violence and multi-layered storyline… I think I actually preferred the ending in the rather, rather than Alan Moore’s graphic novel.
And so here’s the first trailer for this latest, to be released in March 2011.
You should be excited because:
- It has hot girls in it
- It has samurai in it
- It has giant trolls with mini-guns in it
- It has exploding Nazi blimps in it
- It has massive fire-breathing dragons in it

Looks amazing!
It really, really does. That Snyder knows how to make things look stupidly cool.
Sucker Punch looks visually stunning and it’s got some great ingredients for highly entertaining action flick but I think the combination is too overwhelming. Plus I can’t get past the fact that it’s created by Zack Snyder rather than being based on an original story. I expect Sucker Punch is like taking into plunge into his mind & that’s a place I don’t think I want to be.

He’s not as bad as I make out. I was surprised at how old he was & that he had a wife! Not what I imagined. I kinda thought he would be more of a Seth Green comic book geek type…
